Clearwater Fire Hall

Clearwater's first fire hall a two bay building was built in 1969 on land donated by Verla Capostinsky. Its is now used as a training building, shop and as a storage building for gear and our retired Engine # 1

In 1972 a three bay brick building was built next to the original building , this new hall was used  for our fire trucks  and the original building was used for a meeting room.

Our trucks were getting bigger we needed  more room and the B.C. Ambulance service was looking for a new home , so in 1981 1982 and two story building was attached to the brick hall .   The B.C.A.S used two of the bays and half the upstairs and the fire dept used the other three bays and the first hall.

The B.C.A.S. has moved on and the need for more room is still growing. We are planning a new chapter in the history of our fire hall and are looking towards building a new larger hall that will serve the town of Clearwater for years to come.

Today the Fire Dept has 2 engines (pumpers), a bush truck, and 2 tankers, the town has grown and the water system keeps expanding with it.
