The Clearwater Volunteer Fire Department provides services for the protection of lives and property from fire hazards; providing a comprehensive fire prevention and suppression service and engaging in mutual aid agreements with Blackpool and Vavenby Fire Departments and recepical agreement with the Clearwater Fire Zone.   • In July the department has its’ own “Firefit challenge”

Training takes place Thursday nights at 7pm at the Fire Hall. New members are welcome, just show up. For questions email Fire Chief Mike Smith.

  • Held 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt to raise money for equipment for the Chad Schapansky Memorial Park
  • Hosted Annual Father’s Day Lunch
  • Participated in May Day Parade
  • Fire Prevention Week activities:
    • Hosted Open House at Firehall
    • Attended Raft River School to provide information sessions to Kindergarten to Grade 4 students
    • Hosted an elementary school-wide colouring contest with 2 tablets as prizes
  • Hosted Fireworks for Halloween
  • Signed agreement with Canfor for training site and Fireworks show
  • Adopted External Fire Protection Playbook
