Land Owner Exclusion Applications – Submit by September 29th, 2020
As of September 30th, 2020 private landowners will no longer be able to make an application for exclusion from the ALR. Should a landowner wish to make an exclusion application in advance of this change, a landowner must complete the following before midnight on Tuesday, September 29th, 2020:
- Submit the exclusion application on the ALC Application Portal. The Application Status must be at minimum ‘Submitted to Local Government’ as of September 30, 2020 (not ‘In Progress’). Any Application submitted must also include:
- Proof of Newspaper Advertisements: provide proof of payment for the two separate newspaper advertisements and a mock-up of the newspaper advertisement. These can be uploaded in the space for the proof of advertising. If there are multiple attachments, you can also upload the proof in the “optional documents” section.
Once the ads have run, applicants may email PDF copies of the published notice to the local government. Local government staff can upload the documents as part of its submission.
- Proof of Serving Notice: provide proof of serving notice to all registered owners of land in the ALR that share a common boundary with the property. In doing so, you must download a copy of the application completed to the end of Step 7. Enter Proposal. Note: This step can be completed before newspaper advertisements and signage. No additional time after September 29th, 2020 is provided for this requirement.
- Proof of Signage: provide proof of signage for the sign posted on the property (photos). If there are multiple attachments, you can also upload the proof in the “optional documents” section. No additional time after September 29th, 2020 is provided for this requirement.
