ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING ON A TRAILS TASK FORCE?

What is a Trails Task Force you ask? The District has adopted a Trails Master Plan and has been developing a trail system within the municipal boundaries. The purpose of the Task Force is to support the implementation of the Trails Master Plan which includes developing safe, connected and functional recreational trails. The Task Force works with District staff to navigate the legal responsibilities of establishing these trails and providing recommendations to Council on trail development. The Task Force is seeking two (2) new members from the public who are interested in furthering the goals of the committee in creating safe, connected and functional multi-use trails for the purposes of both recreation and commuting routes. The Terms of Reference is available at the District Office or by emailing admin@docbc.ca.

The District will be accepting applications until October 4, 2019 from volunteers who are interested in putting their name forth to serve on the Trails Task Force. The committee is looking to fill two (2) vacancies.
