Please be advised Sunshine Valley and Raft River area is currently subject to a boil water advisory. Officials are working to resolve the issue. This boil water advisory does not impact residents whose water comes from wells.
BWN (Boil Water Notice) to be issued for the Raft area, (East of Candle Creek Road on Clearwater Village Road) as well as for the Sunshine Valley area (West of Clearwater River bridge) due to the loss of pressure in those zones during the power outage. There is an elevated risk of contamination in the water mains when the loss of water/depressurization occurs. Boiling water before consuming is required. If running a tap and water appears dirty (turbidity) or milky (saturated air) continue running water until clear.
Instructions
Please take the following precautions:
- Boil water used for drinking purposes, for at least 1 minute at a rolling boil, prior to use;
- Boil water for activities where it may be ingested;
- Do not drink from any public drinking fountains in the affected area;
- People may use the water for washing and bathing;
- Ensure that younger children and infants are sponge bathed.
Residents will be contacted immediately as soon as new information becomes available.
