Changes to business hours at the District office

2022-01-05   With the highly contagious omicron variant spreading fast around our province, the District of Clearwater is taking temporary precautionary measures to reduce potential exposure points in the effort to support service continuation to the public. The overall goal is to ensure business continuity and to minimize disruption to service delivery to the public. This is a temporary measure in line with the DOC COVID Safety Plan and will be reviewed every 14 days.

What does this mean for you?

Starting January 5, 2022, ICBC and Driver License Service are conducted by appointment only. You can make an appointment online, by calling our office or by emailing icbc@docbc.ca. When entering the building, please sanitize your hands and wear a mask. If you feel any symptoms of Covid, do not come into the office. Please give us a call to cancel your appointment.

For questions regarding front counter services and payment processing, please click here for more information.

The DOC office will be closed to the public but remains functional. We are available via phone during business hours. To contact individual departments via email, please check here. For updates, follow our website or Facebook page.

If you wish to speak to the Mayor, Chief Administrative Officer or any other manager, please consider sending an email or calling our office.

Council Meetings, Committee of the Whole meetings, and other committee meetings are going ahead as scheduled, though they will be conducted virtually. If you wish to join a meeting, please follow our news section for the link to the ZOOM session and call our office for the password.

Other departments operate as usual with increased cleaning protocols and safety precautions.

The North Thompson Sportsplex is continuing operation following Provincial Health Orders.

Please note, further changes can and may be implemented as required from time to time in response to the evolving Covid-19 pandemic. We thank you for your continued patience and understanding and we look forward to welcoming you back in-person as soon as possible.
