• Council directed Administration to investigate the costs of strap-on leak detectors and provide a report to Council in the fall of 2020. The District has been working on a leak detection program for several years and has made progress in this process which is intended to reduce the community’s high consumption of water.
• Council approved the use of the vacant space at Centennial Hall for the Men’s Sheds program free of charge for a trial period of one year.
• Council approved the revised 2019-2022 Strategic Plan which will be reviewed on a quarterly basis and updated annually. The document is available on the District’s website.
• Council gave three (3) reading to Bylaw No. 236, 2020 – 2020-2024 Five Year Financial Plan. The Bylaw is scheduled to come before Council for formal adoption at the Regular Council meeting on April 21, 2020. The Five Year Financial Plan is required by legislation to be adopted annually prior to May 15 for submission to the Ministry of Finance.
The next Regular Council meeting is scheduled to be held Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
Pursuant to Section 3 of Ministerial Order No. M083, Emergency Program Act, a Council is not required to allow members of the public to attend an opening meeting of the Council.
