2021-04-26 On April 2, 2019 the District of Clearwater was declared Canada’s 24th Bee City and BC’s 3rd Bee City! Since then the District as well as community of Clearwater is working to create healthy pollinator habitats, educate about pollinators, and celebrate pollinators in many ways.
The District has contributed by planting pollinator friendly flowers and plants at Dutch Lake and amending the Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw 238 and the Animal Control Amendment Bylaw No. 239.
If you would like to participate, start by checking out the Bee City website offering great resources. Learn about pollinators, about planting a pollinator garden or join us in taking the pledge.
