Job Opening – Part-time Accounting/Motor Vehicle/ICBC Clerk

2024-02-16 — The District of Clearwater is looking to fill the role of Accounting/Motor Vehicle/ICBC Clerk 2. This a permanent part-time 0.60 FTE (up to 21 hours per week) union position. The clerk will be responsible for assisting with Motor Vehicle and ICBC customer service and general office duties as assigned. Applicants must have experience with a variety of office equipment, be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, possess good interpersonal and organizational skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. The position will follow the duties and responsibilities outline in the Motor Vehicle/ICBC Clerk job description.

Salary is $27.17/hour and applicants must be available to work hours between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. The anticipated start date is March 4, 2024, subject to training and onboarding.

The ideal candidate has:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in an office environment
  • Experience with ICBC and Motor Vehicle services
  • Working knowledge of regulations and procedures with the ICBC Policy Centre
  • The ability to focus and pay attention to detail while maintaining a high level of
    accuracy
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • An understanding of accounting principles and the ability to make sound decision.
