Starting Friday, May 22, the District of Clearwater will remove the tape around play structures in municipal parks to make them available to the public. The use of those structures is at your own risk and will not be monitored or supervised. Equipment is not cleaned or sanitized and you are responsible for your own and your child(rens) health and safety. Park rules are posted. This does not include the Splash Park, more info to follow.
It is crucial to follow the Provincial Health Officers physical distancing requirements including washing/ sanitizing hands before and after using the playground as well as avoiding to touch the face and to stay home if you feel sick. On a side note; if you are against using the park, please be kind to the parents that feel this is a good opportunity to teach kids the concept of physical distancing and hand hygiene. Our “new normal” requires patience and kindness from all of us as we are learning to navigate it.
