2024-04-29 — Water main flushing has begun. This year, the flushing begins in Dutch Lake Subdivision then completing all water mains west of the Clearwater River. We will provide another update when flushing is complete in this area.
Only residences with full water interruption will receive a hand-delivered notice from District staff advising of the scheduling interruption. At this time, it is not anticipated that there will be any full water interruptions.
Flushing is done each year to minimize sediment deposits in the District’s water system that can deteriorate water quality. Flushing may cause pressure fluctuations, some discolouration, and sediment in the water, but all these conditions should be of short duration.
If your water appears discoloured, please run your tub faucet or outside tap on cold for 20 minutes or until it runs clear.
If you have any concerns about your water quality, please contact the District at (250) 674-2257.
