Reduce-Reuse-Recycle
Junior Council for the District of Clearwater has been taking action to make our community more environmentally friendly. As part of our action plan, we have brought in a member of the Thompson Nicola Regional District to give a talk about recycling at Clearwater Secondary School and the Dutch Lake Community Center. We are actively working on changing our high school’s recycling system, and our larger vision is looking at how our community can Reduce-Reuse and Recycle.
As part of this plan, we are looking at the issue of single use plastic bags and hoping for community input. Junior Council is sending the below survey to you in hopes that you can provide your thoughts on reducing and potentially eliminating single-use plastic bags within our community.
