Winter Attractions


Winter attractions in the District of Clearwater includes a myriad of activities such as Nordic, cross-country and downhill skiing as well as snowmobiling, snowshoeing and ice fishing. Clearwater’s North Thompson Sportsplex has hosted a variety of Provincial Minor Hockey Tournaments as well as adult men and women’s tournament during hockey season. The facility also hosts an Annual Girls Hockey Jamboree which bring in girls of all ages province wide for a weekend of hockey fun.

The Clearwater Ski Hill although small is a great location when the snow flies, kids and adults alike flock to the hill for a day of skiing and socializing. Over the years, it has grown into a perfect family activity that includes a fast T-bar, runs for all abilities, and a cozy lodge. The operations of the hill are done by a board of volunteer directors whose objectives are to make local skiing accessible and affordable.
