Today at 5:30pm the TNRD has issued an evacuation order for 12 properties in the area west of Darfield due to the Sparks Lake fire. See the full Evacuation Order here. Darfield is located between Little Fort and Barriere on highway 5.

If you are resident of the TNRD (Vavenby, Birch Island, Upper Clearwater, Blackpool, East Blackpool) please sign up for the Emergency Alert System to receive alerts for your area.
In the meantime, please start planning for an Evacuation Alert or Order. Consider what it means for your family, what you need to pack (medication, important paperwork) and how to evacuate life stock. More info here.
