Potential Canada Post Strike; Property Tax Notices and Payment Options

2025-06-02 – Notice

The potential Canada Post strike could impact the District of Clearwater services, such as receiving property tax notices and property tax payments.

The property tax due date will continue to be July 2, 2025. Failure to receive property tax notices does not absolve the responsibility of the property owner to remit payment by the property tax due date.

The property tax notices have been mailed the week of May 26th. If you do not receive your property tax notice by June 16th , please notify us by:

A. Preferred Option : Come in person with your personal identification to the District of Clearwater offices at 209 – Dutch Lake Rd. to pick up a copy of your property tax notice.

B. Email the property tax offices at finance@docbc.ca and include the following in your email:

  • Your name – property owner name.
  • Property Roll number
  • Civic Address
  • Requested information

C. Last Option – Phone the District Offices at 250-654-2257 and ask for Accounts Receivable.

To avoid consequences of your cheque being caught in the mail strike, please DO NOT send your cheque via Canada Post. Use the following payment options:

  • Online banking
  • Pay at your financial institution
  • In person at the District Offices during regular business hours.
    •  Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
