The District of Clearwater’s North Thompson Sportsplex is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for casual Concession Clerk positions. These opportunities offer meaningful work supporting a safe and welcoming community recreation facility during the fall and winter months. The successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to maintain a positive and safe environment for all facility users.
Concession Clerk – Duties:
• Serve customers in the concession with excellent customer service skills.
• Handle cash transactions using the cash register and point of sale system.
• Prepare, serve, and stock food and beverage items in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of concession area, equipment, and seating areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Provide friendly, professional service to all facility users.
Qualifications:
• Must be 14 years of age or older.
• Applicants aged 14 or 15 must provide written parental consent.
• Food Safe Level 1 Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR -C /AED certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience handling cash and working with the public is an asset.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
This position is part of CUPE Local 900 bargaining unit with a pay rate of $19.57 per hour plus in lieu of benefits, in accordance with the collective agreement. Hours of work will vary depending on facility schedules and programming.
