Statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Sept. 9, 2022 — The District of Clearwater is committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive environment for all members of our community. While many who call Clearwater home love where they live, we recognize that there is still a lot we must do to ensure all are provided the same opportunity to love where they live, too.
Our world is diverse, and our diversity is what makes us unique. The expression of our collective diversity may include individualized characteristics such as ancestry, ethnicity (race), gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disabilities, religious affiliation and so much more. As a municipality we need to recognize that those living, visiting, and working here may come from all walks of life and lived experiences.
As we strive to continually improve our community’s sense of inclusion and safety, we invite everyone to join us in this commitment to ensuring we all love where we live.
