2022-10-07 — Environment Canada issued a grey weather notification for the province of B.C. Friday (Oct. 7) afternoon. Wind gusts are expected to sweep through the province on Sunday, Oct. 9 and Monday, Oct. 10 due to a cold front. The cold front is expected to enter from northern B.C. on Sunday afternoon and exit southern B.C. on Monday night.
During this time, temperatures will also cool to seasonal averages after the cold front passes. It is not expected there will be much, if any, precipitation, and though it is uncertain how strong the wind will be, gusts may cause drought-stricken trees to fall and lead to power outages.
Warm and dry conditions will continue once the cold front has passed and will persist for the foreseeable future.
