Grant-in-Aid applications deadline Dec. 1

2022-09-13 — The deadline for 2023 Grant-in-Aid requests is December 1. Only submissions received by the deadline will be included in 2023 budget deliberations.

The Grant in Aid Policy requires grant-in-aid applicants to submit their application for a grant in aid by December 1 of the year prior to the year the grant is needed. This will give Council opportunity to review applications during the budget process and if more information is required, Council may also request the applicant’s attendance to a Council meeting.

The policy separates grant-in-aid requests into four separate categories: recurring community events, community projects, special events, and permissive tax exemptions.

Grant claims submitted after the deadline shall not qualify for review until the following year, exceptions are subject to funding restrictions.

The District will send reminder notices to those organizations that were recipients of the grant in aid in 2021 and 2022. The policy and application form are posted here.
