2026-03-19 – NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Where? The Council of the District of Clearwater gives notice that it will hold a Public Hearing in Council Chambers at 209 Dutch Lake Road, Clearwater, BC, to consider proposed Bylaw No. 331,2026.
What is Bylaw No. 331, 2026? The proposed bylaw is to adopt a new Official Community Plan (OCP) covering all land and properties with the municipal boundaries of the District of Clearwater. The OCP is a statement of objectives and policies to guide the City on a variety of decisions including planning and land use management. It also includes land use designations and development permit designations and guidelines.
Purpose of the Public Hearing? For Council to obtain public input regarding the proposed OCP. Submissions may be either submitted in writing prior to the Public Hearing or presented at the Public Hearing. All persons who believe that their interest in property may be affected by the proposed Bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing. Additionally, they may make written submissions on the matter of Bylaw No. 331 (via the options below) which must be received at our office prior to 4:30 p.m. on the 30th day of March, 2026. Please note that all correspondence submitted to the District Council in response to this Notice must include your name and address and will form part of the public record. If you wish to participate in this meeting virtually, please contact the District in advance of the Hearing to receive a meeting link.
How do I get more information? A copy of the proposed OCP is available on the District’s website districtofclearwater.com and may also be inspected from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (except statutory holidays) at our office, from March 13, 2026 until 1:00 p.m. the day of the Hearing; or please contact us via any of the options below.
