Staff Announcement – Deputy Corporate Officer and Climate Action Coordinator

2022-11-30 — The District of Clearwater is very pleased to announce the appointment of Alsid Prime as the new Deputy Corporate Officer and Climate Action Coordinator. Alsid’s started work with the District this month.

Alsid has lived in Clearwater since 2016 and is joining the District with considerable management experience with over a decade of experience as a Program Manager for a contractor working under the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Alsid brings additional experience from a diverse background of roles including Emergency Management Program, is very active in the community as a Captain with the Clearwater Volunteer Fire Department, as well as with Wells Gray Search and Rescue and Wells Gray Amateur Radio Club. Alsid brings an educational background in Criminology, and Certificates in Emergency Management, and IT Support Specialization.

The role of Deputy Corporate Officer is an important part of the Senior Management team and the role is extremely important in providing corporate leadership and assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of corporate services. The Climate action Coordinator function is a new function to the District of Clearwater and will serve as the principal advisor on the topic of corporate climate action and response as well as monitoring, tracking, and reporting the Districts performance to the province to meet provincial obligations.
