What’s Happening at the District of Clearwater – January 14, 2026
Clearwater Fire Department
The new year has already brought several callouts for the Clearwater Fire Department. Crews have responded to a number of medical calls, a downed power line, false alarms, and a reported chimney fire—which thankfully did not result in any serious issues. The department remains ready to respond and serve the community as needed.
Clearwater FireSmart
The Clearwater FireSmart program has kicked off the new year with planning for its 2026 initiatives. As part of this work, FireSmart will be hosting a public viewing of the documentary BC Is Burning toward the end of February. The program is hopeful for strong community attendance and engagement at this important event.

Public Works Update
- Snow removal operations on trails and District facilities
