Inter-Community Business Licence

If you have a mobile business and conduct business in two or more of the partner communities, you may be eligible for an Inter-Community Business Licence (ICBL). Partnering communities may include Barriere, Chase, Kamloops, Lillooet, Logan Lake, Merritt, and Tk’émlúps te Secwépemc.

For more information about this program, please visit the province of BC’s Mobile Business Licence Program website.

District of Clearwater Bylaw 267, effective January 1, 2023, guides all activities of the Inter-Community Business Licence for Clearwater, including cost ($75.00) and how to apply.

An ICBL is a secondary business licence which means to apply for an ICBL you must first have a primary business licence in one of our partner communities. If your business is located in Clearwater and you wanted to do business in Barriere or Kamloops, you must apply for your ICBL through the District of Clearwater. You only need to apply for one ICBL to cover your activities in all seven partner communities.

To apply for an ICBL:

If you have a valid primary business licence, then you need to complete the ICBL Application and submit it. Your primary business licence number must be part of your ICBL application. If you are applying for your primary and ICBL licences at the same time we will fill this in when/if your primary business licence is granted.

For questions or help, please contact the Business Licence Inspector at 250-674-2257 or edo@docbc.ca
